Anonymous asked: Do you have any tips on coming out? My parents are both VERY homophobic and transphobic, and I have no idea how to tell them their thirteen year old kid is pansexual and genderqueer. They said they would never kick me out, neither of them, so I can't help but be concerned about what will happen after that with me living with one of them. If I were smart, I'd keep it to myself until I graduated or something, but I really want to come out to EVERYONE, and I can't do that until I tell them.
I’m sorry, i have no advice or tips. Being cis, i never had to worry about declaring my gender identity , and when i came out as lesbian and then as bisexual my parents didn’t really pay any attention, much less react badly.
There are a lot of blogs on tumblr dedicated to LGBT positivity in general and pansexual and genderqueer positivity in particular that you may find much more useful than i could possibly hope to be. I know of pansexualpride; i’m such my readers could suggest others. A quick search of blog tags might also throw up something helpful.
Sorry i can’t be of more use!
