undercoverterrorist replied to your post: i don’t think there are set rules on what a woman should be in feminism, even if they are pro life, etc, they can be feminist, it’s all about choice in my opinion. So being racist is a-okay but being anti-choice is not? wtf?I don’t understand. So many famous feminists have been openly racist and no one says that they’re not “real” feminists but if you’re pro-life or conservative, you’re not a real feminist. That’s what I’m taking from all of this. Do you see how that logic fails?
If i had been asked about it, that’s exactly what i would have said. But since i was asked about c/Conservatism that’s the thing that i focussed on.
I suppose i thought that when i wrote “Feminism is about choice, yes, but it’s not just about choice—if you choose to endorse a viewpoint that does not offer or believe in equality, how on earth is that feminist?” it was clear that i was talking about believing in equality on every level and across every axis.
But i’ll be totally overt about it now, just to be sure: if you don’t support equality on every axis—including but not limited to actively condemning and challenging racism, cissexism, homophobia, (dis)ableism and sexism—then i wouldn’t call you a feminist according to how i define it (we might call this FYGS-feminism) (and you’re a shitty fucking person).
If you only believe in equality for some women, you might find that another feminist movement is more accepting of you. But not mine.

Think they’re referring to the fact that (white) feminists have ignored WOC and perpetuated forms of racial oppression, thereby not endorsing ideas of equality, yet are still considered feminists.
