isnt feminism about choice? choosing to be capital-C is feminist; feminism as the movement to end sexism doesnt even get into religion or abortion stances. belief systems on the individual level arguably perpetuate feminist ideals.

Feminism is about choice, yes, but it’s not just about choice—if you choose to endorse a viewpoint that does not offer or believe in equality, how on earth is that feminist? 

I thought this was obvious but maybe not: sexism isn’t just, like, the wage gap or something. Sexism is anything that manifests in a way that affords fewer opportunities, rights and freedoms to female-associated or FAAB individuals and/or women compared with men. For instance, trying limit access to abortion so that one half of society will be forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term.

Feminism is about establishing equal rights and opportunity. And that includes making sure that if someone doesn’t want to be pregnant and have a baby, they don’t have to—no matter the circumstances in which they came to be in that condition.
