I don’t understand. Who mentioned racism? (Of course racism isn’t okay.)

Anonymous asked: If you say women can't be a Christian and pro-life and a feminist aren't you placing limitations on feminism.
Seriously?!
In response to some posts earlier this afternoon, i keep getting messages stating things like “sexism is the reason transphobia exists” and “cissexism just boils down to sexism”.
I’ve responded twice now stating my opinion. I don’t believe that we can legitimately reduce these other forms of discrimination to misogyny and/or sexism. It’s not accurate and...

Anonymous asked: In reponse to the anon post you just had: I think if you wanted to boil things down to their simplest then all of those things probably focus on a fear/dislike of 'the other', but this isn't always femininity being attacked. Even the most masculine of gay men are still subject to homophobia, etc etc.
apoopgirl replied to your post: I don’t know if your definition - even restructured - quite covers it. Sexism is at the root of a lot of things as the hatred and discrimination of the feminine. Sexism is at the root of homophobia, cissexism, transphobia, or even instances experienced by straight cis men who partake in “feminine” activities. I think you have the right idea, its just important to...

ok but you can still be a conservative and not agree with the republican stance on abortion and choice.
Yes, i would call that small-c conservatism. Because why, if you believe in equality, would you choose to identify with a movement (like capital-C Conservatism, like the Republicans) that does not? If...

You mentioned that sexism is women compared to men. Traditionally it’s thought that way between the two sexes, but shouldn’t it also extend to Trans and others as well who may not self define as male or female as well? Thanks for your thoughts!
Thanks for asking about this.

vnfm replied to your post: Do you think it’s possible to be a conservative and a feminist?
isnt feminism about choice? choosing to be capital-C is feminist; feminism as the movement to end sexism doesnt even get into religion or abortion stances. belief systems on the individual level arguably perpetuate feminist ideals.
Feminism is about choice, yes, but it’s not just about choice—if...

name-redacted asked: I'm also MtF and have great difficulties with sex, sometimes even curling up to watch TV with my partner can be uncomfortable. But for me it's not that I don't enjoy sex, it's just that I find it can be triggering. It doesn't automatically make you ACE, though there's no problem if you are. Not enjoying sex is different to not enjoying being triggered.
Anonymous asked: RE: Asexuality. I'm an asexual and there's noting freaky about it. In fact, the ace community is one of the most sex-positive places I've seen and made me a lot more comfortable with discovering, accepting and comunicating my needs & boundaries. Also, you're probably ace if you're not sexual attracted to anyone but only you can decide if you are one of not. Cheers!
